WOMEN's Institutes throughout the county from all over Bucks met at the Grange School in Aylesbury on Saturday to present a gala drama festival.
Among those taking part was Wing W.I., who performed "Everyman."
The Institutes and their plays were chosen from more than 20 which had been entered in the regional drama festivals throughout the county The gala day was organised by the Bucks Federation of Women's Institutes Drama Sub- Committee of which Mrs. Beryl Crunden is chairman, and it continued throughout Saturdayafternoon.
Other Institutes taking part in the festival included Bledlow Ridge who performed a play called "Ring for Hartley"; Prestwood Evening W.I. with "The Garden, and Cheddington W.I with "Not in the Guide Book."
A RAFFLE
Although the event itself was non-fund raising, a raffle was held and many of the prizes were the work of W.I. members.
These included an oil painting by Mrs. M King from Taplow W.I. and three teddy bears made by Miss D. Millington. Money from the raffle is being used to pay for new stage lighting equipment. It was organised by Mrs. B. Brown, Mrs H. Bury and Mrs. M. Wood.

Wing W.I. won a silver medal in the 1976 Drama Festival held at the Grange School, Aylesbury.

Some of thos taking part were :- Beryl Taylor, Brenda Maynard, Dorothy Rickard, Margaret Beatty, Evelyn Liscoe. The producer was Joan Cranmer.
