SAVING THE PLANET!

September 25, 2010 6:15pm

I have decided to start cycling to work to help save the planet! Riding cuts carbon emissions and can keep you fit, so I am doing my bit!
I managed to pick a cheap bike from the Internet and it was easy to collect.
Each morning is a lot less stressful just getting up and cycling to work, without the hustle and bustle of the tube!
For every bike on the road there will be one less car! So go on go buy a "cheap bike now!

Save Money While Shopping

September 25, 2010 6:15pm

I know I shop a lot, but every time I see large shopping bill, it still comes as an unpleasant surprise -- especially when it contains overheads like food, travel, fuel surcharges, etc. Therefore, over the months, I've worked on my own theory of how I can minimize on extra costs:
Never go shopping when hungry
This adds a lot to my expenses. If I go on an empty stomach, I tend to grab something or the other to eat while I'm shopping. It definitely happens after I've been through a couple hours worth of shopping and my stomach is killing me with hunger pangs. Therefore, I figured that if I'm stuffed before I leave, I could probably save up on that.
Plan for convenient locations beforehand
I know we all have our favourite places where we buy, but I figured if I can find most of the things I need in one place, that would save a lot of time and money for me. Besides, it means I get to spend more time during the day actually browsing stuff rather than travelling from one place to another.
For now, that's all for my plans. I'll let you know how this works out and how much money I'm able to save.

But is it all that bad? No it’s not. We still have a hell of a lot going for us and are still above all, the most culturally significant nation on the planet. Just take a look around, we have museums and galleries a plenty. Outdoor festivals and events, honourable causes galore. We are a lucky nation, so let’s stay put for once this year and enjoy it. You can start by visiting the Hyde Park Christmas fair, kicking of on the 19th....
