BEST KEPT VILLAGE COMPETITION

Wing is entered into the Best Kept Village Competition. Be a part of our success.

Judging will take place between 24 May and 3 July

Marks are awarded as follows:

Primary features such as churches, graveyards, playing fields, village halls, community centres, boundary hedges, ditches, fences and wildlife conservation areas etc are marked out of a total 60 points.

Secondary features such as inns, hotels, pubs, shops, bus shelters, notice boards, war memorials, ponds, streams etc are marked out of a total 30 points. A remaining 10 points are given for overall appearance and evidence of community effort.

We were awarded commendation last year, so please line up those pretty plantings and help us build on last year’s success.
