It's so exciting that pure talent is once again at the forefront of the music industry. Pop music is so often diluted with manufactured bubblegum acts, failed X Factor attempts and poorly pushed vapid pop anthems.

In such an industry, acts like Adele are an absolute breath of fresh air. It's great to see someone with such raw talent. Watching her live performance of 'Someone Like You' at the Brit Awards, I've stored it on my r4i I love it so much, shows just how stunning her voice is and how well she can convey the emotion behind her words.

And what's even more worth celebrating is these words themselves. Adele is a stunning songwriter, turning her own personal sorrows and life experiences into beautiful songs that we can all identify with. We've all experienced some sort of loss, suffered during a break up or felt that longing for someone we loved, and so we all connect with Adele's songs in a personal and emotional way.
